Disciplined Sourcing: Why I Vet With Installers, Not Just Manufacturers

Credibility in our industry does not come from access to beautiful products.
It comes from disciplined specification.

As interior designers, our reputations are attached to everything we put into a project — not just how it photographs, but how it performs at year one, year five, and year ten. Marketing copy, showroom samples, and polished bylines are part of the evaluation process. But they are not the whole process.
